SC03 SH 08 Keys This is where Santa has just emerged from the chimney on the stage and begins his speech, and as he talks and the crowd applauds the Hitman watches from deep in the crowd. This was a fairly strait forward scene as the details on Santa don't have to be massively worried about as he is very small in this scene. And the details with the crowd are not very complicated and mostly looped movements. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0piNF6r2L6I
SC 02 5 SH 07 This is the scene where the Hitman enters the Santa convention and begins to investigate the area, eyeing everything up. However the Hitman dosent see where he is going and begins to tumble into different people and things in a comedic way. This scene was a complicated one but i think i enjoined it due to that. Figuring out the background character while also the Hitmans reaction to everything hitting him  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eA4bjR7dmyU&feature=youtu.be
SH 01 SH 11 Keys This scene is just after the Hitman has reacted to the Mob Bosses burst of rage, and the Mob Boss in-order to calm him self has taken a bit of his cigar, and once calm brings up the costume that the Hitman will need to disguise him self when entering the convention. I'm fairly happy with the results of this, especially with the smoke effect i added, though i wounder if the audience will need more time to read the costume.      https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=erbdb3GxumU
SC 01 SH 09 Keys In this scene the Mob Boss has finished his flash back and is now very upset thining about it though also mad that the Himan brought it up. I tried making the transition from sad to angry smooth and organic but not too slow, one way to bridge the gape is having the Mob Boss wipe away his tears with his big fists  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=29zc2RMz8zM
SC 01 SH 08 Keys This is more of a effect that is for the thought bubble that the mob boss has his flash back in, the puff of smoke is basically the end of the flash back. Not much to say on this one as there in't a hug amount going on, i think i got the smoke to look right in the style though will just have to see how it looks when the its combined with the background and flashback.      https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pGpOCtINWVQ
SC 01 SH 06 Keys 02 This is a scene i did previously but i redid it, due to lines being changed around a bit. The audio is unenforceable a bit fuzzy due to complications on youtube, which i cant do a lot to at the moment. I think I'm ok with the movement and feel that its a bit of a improvement compared to the originally one in terms of being on model, though there is always room for improvement  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X0k5NWnuc4k
SC 01 SH 03 This is one of the very first scenes where the mob boss hands the Hitman the hit which the Hitman will soon find out is Santa. I'm glade with how this one came out as the character are on model enogh for the clean up stage and movement is nice and smooth, especially with the angle which was chosen for this scene.    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jyfc-6zDD40
These are some looped Hitman walk cycled that may be used when the Hitman is walking through the convention though that may be changed later Walk cycle 3 with hat and costume https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yUjTMWwUjls Walk cycle 2 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JIpLpG8PARw Walk cycle 1 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JllC3Nq7Mns
SC 05 SH 25 Keys At this point Santa has regained control of the slay from crashing into big Ben but the Hitman has had time to find some things in the back ofr the slay to take Santa out. For this scene i made it be that Santa has gone back to fear like he did in the beginning of this chain of events. To add to the sense of danger one of the stairs that the Hitmas finds in the back cuts of  a piece of Santa beard and breaks the radio, which would be playing though out in the background of the scenes on the slay.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IOoLzsS86DQ
SC 05 SH 22 Keys In this scene Santa has just hit the hitman with the bais ball bat but has then seen that the slay is heading strait for big Ben, and quickly try's to stair the slay away in order not to crash. I tryed to make a sense of panic on Santa's face, as well as fear as the Hitman comes too realizing the situation   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LU14CGqOf2g
SC 05 SH 20 Keys This scene is after the Hitman has come to from being throne back on to the sack of toys, and has tried to shot Santa with what he thinks is his gun but was actually a water pistol instead. While the Hitman pauses for sec wondering way he mistaken it for his gun, Santa quickly grabs a rapt up bias ball bat and whacks him with it. I tried to make the impact of the bias ball bat with the Hitmans face a bit brutal but also comedic, as I've made the Hitman do a spin like a ballerina due to the force of the impact. Which sends him back on top of the sack, almost sending him back to where he started again in this sequence.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pf37baG1wyQ
SC 05 SH 15 Keys This scene is after santa has pulled up before Hitman is able to take the shot while on the slay and recovers from hiting the giant bag of toys, though is hit with a ball. I think the movement in this shot is ok though the timing i think will need to be changed a bit as I'm only following the shot list's timing https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LrKK-4Jc-VU
SC 05 SH 10 Keys After Santa has looked in the mirror while driving he does a double take as he then notices in terror that the Hitman is looming behind. With this shot i was told to try and push the expressions to be more cartoonie and wacky, like eyes poping out and exaggerated mouth open. I think i manged to achieved it though i still had to be some what rue to the character, and not being able to also in-between this scene made it trick as i couldn't see the full smooth movement. in order to accommodate for this i'm trying to use timing charts for the therebetween to use later on. Though i am new to this so it may not come out as good as i hoped, will just have to wait and see i suppose       https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wFpuoOeL4zE
SC 05 SH 07 Keys Here is the scene where Santa believes he has gotten away in his slay but is actually unaware that the Hitman has sneaked on the slay and now emerges from the shadows to begin to make his move. I feel ok about this shot though I'm still needing practice on the characters them selves https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z5tGUZ96--w
SC 01 SH 07 Keys Right after the Hitman has asked the mob boss way he has put the hit on Santa, the mob boss begins to have a flashback of way that is, all the while being visible angry and upset by the thought of it. This is my first time animating the mob boss and i think im happy with the shot, it was a simple shot though i wounder if at any point ill be able to push the character https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pn67g-XVGC8
S C 01 SH 06 Keys This scene is after the Hitman has looked over the file and had simple expted the hit for what it is though is curious about way the mob boss has put the hit on Santa. Im pleased with the movement in this one though the character could be more on model https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ZD-yQjq3ts
sc 01 SH 04 Keys For my shots ill be putting links to them on youtube as it will be easier in terms of video quality. I may not say a huge amount on each shot as there may not be a huge amount to say besides needs to be more on model or needs to move in a different ways, but for simple shots like this there isnt much more to say other then it needs to be more on model. For clarification this shot is after the mob boss has given the Hitman the hit to take out Santa, but the Hitman only learns this after reading the file on it that he is given.   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qm1ikpLDTbU

Here are the sculptures of the Hitman and Santa characters in clay Das form. Im a lot more pleased with how these ones came out as there much more on model then the Plasticine ones where. I hope that there of use to others when figuring out the characters from certain persuasions, and even if there not I'm still glade i did it as it was good practice on the characters and i enjoined making them.

I,ve tried making some improvised Plasticine sculptures for the characters as im looking to see if i can bring my sculpting skills into play, and maybe use them as reference for people. However these first sculptures are very rough as working with colored Plasticine for characters with a lot of specifically shaped parts is a bit tricky. However ill be using Das clay next which should prove to be more familiar and successfully. This will all also help act as practice figuring out the characters in a more 3 dimensional perspective

Now that we have the Mob boss design sorted I've begun practice his design, again I'm struggling to get certain shapes of his design right, like his head for example still needs work. Though luckily in this scene he only needs to be animated from the waist up
Image
These are my practice drawings of Santa, there wasn't really many references i could think of for Santa as his design is very round and cartoonie. I'm still trying to figure him out but with some practice hopefully it can be achieved.

Here are first couple of practice drawings of the Hitman while using some action posses as reference, though i think its still needing a bit more practice in certain shapes and Constance. ill continue practicing to get it more on point
Here is the test shot that me and my group put together for the presentation, only with this ones its the parts that i did. due to the limited time to both figure out the character and practice drawing them meant that the animation i did was mostly redone, i did help out with the coloring at the end though. If the film goes through i plan on practicing the characters more, though i will first have to wait for a proper character sheet of the final design of them done
These are the very early story boards of the Hitman entering the convention and Santa emerging from the stage, where the Hitman try's to take a shot of him from behind the crowd but misses. The other storyboards are later in the film when Santa manages to get away in his slay but hasn't noticed that the the hitman has actually been able to sneak's on to the slay and begins to make his move as Santa continues to drive the slay unaware. Again they are very rough and will probaly be altered or changed later along the line as the script is still being worked on

This will be my first contribution to the animated film target x mas, a animated film for our final year at Falmouth university Animation and visually effects course. The idea of the film is that a hit has be put on Santa to which a Hitman has be tasked to do, however the only place that Santa will be around for the Hitman to take him out, is at santa cone. A convention full of people dressed in Santa and Christmas related costumes, Shenanigans insue. That's the idea of the film so far, i plan on being a key-framer for the film as well as inbetweener and any other jobs that need doing like coloring or shading. Though for now ill be helping out with story boarding and concept-art. which speaking of, here is some concept art for some of the crowd dressed up in costumes
